Coming from out of town? Galleria Park Hotel is offering their loyalty rate for Science Hack Day attendees. They’re located in a great part of SF (a 12 min. cab ride from the venue) between the waterfront, SFMOMA and shopping district. Download this PDF for more info. All attendees are welcome to spend Saturday night at the event venue (you’ll probably want to acquire a sleeping bag or inflatable mattress, though!)
Tools provided by the venue: digital microscope, electronics lab with 6-10 soldering stations with solder, industrial sewing machines, drill press, chop saw, scroll saw, midi sound studio, 60watt laser cutter for light plastics and cardboard, drills, basic hand tools… and of course, wifi for everyone!
